Last year I was on a long bike ride out in the county with friends. (In case you didn't know it, Harrisonburg and Rockingham County are known far and wide as the cycling capital of Virginia.) On a long stretch of winding secondary road we passed a woman walking her dogs.
This was coincidentally at a time when I was starting to think about changing my presence on the web with the goal of attracting retail sales. Hence, we needed to have a slicker, more fashion oriented look on the site. One of my friends on the ride who I had shared this idea with exclaimed that this woman had the look I wanted. A couple of months passed and we saw her again, on the same road. On a whim, I stopped, introduced myself and asked her if she might consider being photographed wearing my jewelry. To my surprise she agreed. A couple of meetings later I was able to secure a photographer I had worked with in the past, A director whose work I had already admired and a couple of killer locations.
