Providence, Rhode Island, is the home of the American jewelry industry. For over 200 years, Providence has been concentrated with some of America's greatest artisans, from industry giants like Waite-Thresher and Ostby & Barton to the closet-sized work spaces in immigrant homes. This collection exemplifies some of my favorite examples of vintage and filigree designs executed in the birthplace of American jewelry and ornament manufacturing.
